06/11/07 - Burren Charity Challenge 2007With great pleasure, the organising committee wishes to announce Burren Charity Challenge 2007!!..... which will take place at 1pm on Saturday 29th December 2007 in Carran, Co Clare (registration from 10am to 12.30 at Cassidy`s Pub and restaurant)!!
Folks, this year we`re reaching for the stars!!!! We have a webpage kindly hosted by the Burren Cycling club with all the details (click on link below)!
As was the case last year participants can chose an event(s) that best suits their fitness and ability from either a 10km walk/run or 40km cycle or the duathlon option (40km cycle followed by 5k run!). All the family are welcome and if nothing else, the soup and scones (kindly organised by Cassidy`s Pub and restaurant) afterwards will feed the whole family!
Last year, you bunch of miscreants managed to raise €24,496.00 in aid of the The Brothers of Charity Mission in Africa for Street Children and Children with AIDS coordinated by Brother John Joe Linnane! That is some days work!!!
