Dromineer / Series 3
The 3rd installment of the Dromineer triathlon took place on a dull Saturday morning. The water was very choppy and this would prove a tough test for the nine Nenagh triathletes to overcome.

As usual a handicap system was in place based on previous times for the race. The first to take off was Stephen Nagle and last to enter the water was Shane Scully. Top swim of the day was put in by Henry 'hardcore' Blackwell who swam the swim leg without a wet suit.
It was Henry who led into the bike leg. He was closely followed by Stephen Nagle and Eoin Woolley. Brian O'Neill unfortunately punctured out early on the bike. Nobody verified if the wheel was actually punctured so we will have to take his word for it! Kevin Sherlock was one of the main movers on the bike. He was quickly eating into the handicaps of the lads in front of him. Rumours of some drafting were also making their way back to command central. The club motto of 'by any means necessary' was clearly being adhered to!

Onto the run and Henry's lead had been cut right down and it was Kevin Sherlock who led for most of the run. The question was whether he could hold off the expected hard running of Michael Brown and Shane Scully. In the end Shane managed to come through the field to win in a new course record time. He was followed home by Kevin in second and Michael in third.
The final listings were as follows:
| Name | Flat Time | Handicap Time |
| Shane Scully | 1:01:22 | 1:20:22 |
| Kevin Sherlock | 1:09:20 | 1:21:20 |
| Michael Brown | 1:10:11 | 1:22:11 |
| Brian O'Rourke | 1:13:56 | 1:22:56 |
| Keith Horan | 1:16:58 | 1:23:58 |
| Henry Blackwell | 1:19:15 | 1:24:15 |
| Eoin Woolley | 1:21:49 | 1:24:49 |

Thanks to everyone who showed up and well done to all. The next Dromineer triathlon will take place on the 18th of September and we hope ye can all make it to that race.
